Liz Cass is a mezzo of unique brilliance, depth, and agility.  Her voice adapts easily to fit a wide array of repertoire and styles.  Ms. Cass has star quality that radiates through her portrayals on the operatic stage and in concert.  Ms. Cass was recently seen as both The Witch and The Mother, Gertrude in Austin Lyric Opera’s production of Hansel and Gretel.  Other  recent roles include Aloés in L’Etoile and Thisbe in Rossini’s La Cenerentola with Austin Lyric Opera.

Ms Cass’s Upcoming schedule includes a tour to L.A. with Austin’s own Rude Mechanicals in their production of “I’ve Never Been So Happy”.  Also upcoming, a Messiah in Guatemala City and Antigua, Guatemala,  Lucia di Lammermoor with Austin Lyric Opera, Bach Mass in b minor, and many recital engagements in Austin, TX and Greenville, SC.

In addition to keeping up with her busy performance schedule, Liz maintains a large and diverse vocal studio at the Armstrong Community Music School, trains young promising singers in performance skills, runs an intensive summer vocal workshop for advanced singers at Austin Lyric Opera, and creates and implements opera education programs for ages 5-adult.  Ms Cass also produces and stars in Austin Lyric Opera’s Opera Unplugged video series as well as her own Opera Lady video series.
